Terms and Conditions

APPOINTMENTS

  1. Bookings are essential.
  2. Prices are based on a 1 hour booking for one service. If extra time is needed due to the client not being on time, then an invoice may be sent to the client with additional charges. If the service is conducted in less than an hour, no reimbursement of payment will be provided to the client.
  3. All bookings are invoiced and to be paid in full before the date of the booking.
  4. For bookings starting before 7am, there may be an early morning fee charged to your booking. Please enquire.
  5. All bookings that fall on a public holiday, there will be a surcharge added to your booking.  Please enquire.
  6. In the unlikely event that the Client is not satisfied with the service performed then the Client must inform the artist booked doing the service, at the time of the booking and allow the artist a chance to rectify the service.
  7. In an unlikely event that the makeup artist booked cannot attend due to illness/ car breaking down/ car accident/emergency, I will do my best to find a replacement. In the case where this is not possible, I will send you a full refund of the initial payment made for that booking.
  8. Travel to outside the Queenstown region will be extra.  The travel fee is depending on your location on the day of your event. This may be invoiced separately from your service payment if we can’t provide a cost before the booking date. An accurate app is used to calculate this and can be agreed upon before booking.

DEPOSITS

  1. I require a 50% deposit for all bookings which is invoiced and required at the time of your confirmation, to secure your preferred booking date and time.
  2. The remaining amount will be invoiced and to be paid online before your booking date.
  3. There is a deposit booking fee of 50% for all wedding day bookings that is required at the time of booking, to secure your wedding date and time.

CHANGES

  1. Changes to time and date will be taken into consideration, however this will not always be able to be met. In circumstances where changes cannot be accommodated then a refund of any payment paid will be made to the client. Refunds will only apply to changes which are made 24 hours prior to the booking, or 2 weeks prior to a wedding day booking, after which the full remaining balance must be paid.

CANCELLATIONS

  1. Please advise at least 24 hours prior to your booking, or at least 2 weeks prior for wedding day bookings, for cancellations or else you will be liable to pay the booking costs in full.

‘No shows’, including vouchers and prepaid appointments, will be liable for the full price of the missed appointment.

COVID-19 & WEDDING DAY BOOKINGS

  1. The wedding day deposit terms and conditions for COVID 19 are slightly different. At Level 4 (within New Zealand) your booking fee would be transferred ONCE, (the new date must be within 1 year of your original postponed wedding date), to a new date that both the client and Makeup Queenstown can agree upon. If Aimee is not available on the new date, the booking deposit fee will be refunded for covid related cancellations.

WEDDINGS AND GROUP BOOKINGS

  1. For bookings starting before 7am, there will be an early morning fee charged to your booking per artist booked.  Please enquire.
  2. All bookings that fall on a public holiday, there will be a surcharge added to your booking.  Please enquire.
  3. Prior to the wedding, Aimee will perform a trial, to determine make-up colours, application method etc per the requirements of the Client.
  4. Payment for the bridal trial must be made before the date of the trial.
  5. A booking deposit is required in order to secure your preferred date and time for all wedding and group bookings. This deposit is non-refundable.
  6. The final balance is to be paid prior to the date of the wedding booking. 
  7. Every effort will be taken to accommodate any changes to the service performed within reason, however, please be aware some changes may incur additional charges.
  8. Changes to time and date will be taken into consideration, however this will not always be able to be met. In circumstances where changes cannot be accommodated then a refund of any payment paid (excluding the deposit), will be made to the client. Refunds will only apply to changes which are made 2 weeks prior to the booking, after which the full remaining balance must be paid.
  9. Cancellations must be made more than 2 weeks prior to the wedding date, after which the full remaining balance must be paid.
  10. Any overseas wire bank transfers- a $35.00NZ fee will be added to payments made from overseas to cover transfer costs. Please advise if you are paying via wire transfer so we can add the fee to your invoice.

MILEAGE, FUEL COSTS AND PARKING

  1. Travel is included in your booked amount for the Queenstown region. Should you require services to locations outside of this region, these can be discussed and agreed upon before booking.

PRIVACY ACT

  1. Your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and any other personal information that we hold is for the sole use of Makeup Queenstown. This information will not be sold or rented to any third party. Please see our Privacy Policy below.
  2. All photos used, whether that be on social media or on the website owned by Mon Aime Limited, will be agreed to use before hand. If you do not want your photo to be shared, please advise when sending or it will be assumed that your permission has been granted on receipt and that the images are yours to share. Please also be advised that it is your responsibility to provide credits for photographs submitted where necessary. 

RIGHTS RESERVED

  1. Aimee Fitz-Gerald of Mon Aime Limited trading as Makeup Queenstown reserves the right to cancel any booking, and provide email notification of doing so, when a booking is in breach of these terms and conditions.
  2. Neither party shall be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, terrorism, strike, lock-out, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm or other event beyond the reasonable control of either party.

INDEMNIT

  1. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you indemnify Aimee Fitz-Gerald from Mon Aime Ltd trading as Makeup Queenstown, from and against all actions, demands, claims, suits, damages, liabilities, losses, settlements, judgements, costs and expenses.

LIABILITY

  1. Mon Aime Limited trading as Makeup Queenstown is not liable for any allergies or skin irritations.
  2. Mon Aime Limited trading as Makeup Queenstown cannot be held liable under this contract where the client is unhappy with the finished make up where the Makeup artist has complied with their obligations under clause 1.
