How is Aimee at Makeup Queenstown different from other makeup artists?

I’m really just a girl who loves playing with make up! I am passionate about making my clients feel good – what ever that looks like. I am relaxed, fun & have been using/playing working with make up for almost 20 years. I can still remember playing with my mother’s lipstick & the absolute fascination I had for it. I did end up looking like Morticia Addams but hey, I was 10!

I’m not in Queenstown, will you come to me?

Yes – Available for the wider Central Otago region – travel costs to be agreed before booking.

What products do you use?

I have always been a “Product Junkie” myself so have scoured Sephora, Mecca and many other department stores to find some of the best products. Brands include M.A.C, Benefit, Fenty, Dior, YSL, Charlotte Tilbury, Rare Beauty, NARS and so much more! Do you have a product you love? Please let me know!

“I just like a natural look, I don’t want to look too cakey!”

This is probably the most common question I get asked. I work with M.A.C Face & Body Foundation that is buildable in coverage and have tailored my techniques to cater to both a natural and “full face” look. I really like feedback, you tell me what you like and I will work with your needs.

Can we do a practice run?

Absolutely! Also please feel free to send me your Pinterest/Instagram looks, colours, pictures of your dress in advance. I just love talking about make up & like to be prepared so any work we can do prior is encouraged.

I have areas that require special attention Ie: psoriasis/broken capillaries/acne/rosacea

Hey I’ve had it all too! I want you to look and feel your best so let me know in advance & I will ensure I’m completely prepared to cater to your needs.

I am allergic to certain ingredients ie: Talc, Latex or Zinc, do you have products that can suit?

I always encourage a patch test in advance. For events like weddings, a trial run is mandatory. For occasions when this is not possible, please let me know any irritants that you have in advance. I have carefully selected products that are of a high quality and use the best sanitary practices. I will always go out of my way to cater to any allergens or skin irritations you may have.

Which payment methods does Makeup Queenstown accept?

Internet banking, manual card payments via Stripe and Cash is accepted. Generally speaking a 50% deposit is required on acceptance of quote and balance paid in 7 days from date of event.
